I just received a HP OfficeJet 8600 Premium from my brother-in-law. It printed well when he had it. I plugged it in, turned it on and tried to print a simole text document. No black ink printed. I installed a new #950XL cartridge and tried to reprint. Still no black ink.I ran three levels of cleaning the print heads and still no black ink. I tried printing from two different laptops and my iPhone; still no black ink. The color cartidges work fine. Anyone know how i can fix this problem?

Dried ink gummed up the print head but you should use EWS to get more information about the cartridge

See if EWS can provide more information.

An HP original video on how to clean the printheads by our experts. Yes, this can get messy, but it works. If your ink levels are good but you are printing blank pages then this is likely the solution.
