OfficeJet Pro 6975

Top line of page usually includes a header (Bold print). This line is consistently "chopped off". Only the bottom-half of the printed characters are printed.

Hi @Cheriokid

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • This seems like an application-specific issue.
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Check the print settings on the app you are using to print. Check the margins.

Refer to 'print margin' section under 'Paper-handling specifications' in this document to know the minimum margin measurements.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same issue with my Officejet 4360 only it is the bottom half of the text that is chopped off and its not just the top of the page, its every line of text even on the print quality report. I have cleaned the cartridges twice and aligned the printer.

@AJH509

Does the issue occur while printing in black or color?

Try making a copy and check if the issue persists. If the test pages from the printer are also being cut-off, try these steps:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
