Cannot get the OfficeJet 7740 to print correctly on A3 paper - it comes out blurry and not in colour. It's not a print head issue as it works perfectly on A4 prints. My colleague on the same network can print on A3 without any issues. I've uninstalled and re-installed the drivers but still doesn't work, also tried printing from different applications which also didn't change.

You need to use latest HP driver for your printer model, you are now using a Microsoft drivers that is causing you the A3 only printing issues.

I already downloaded HP Smart and the latest drivers but this did not solve the issue.

It's the drivers, you are not only one with this issue.

 

What is driver version you have installed?

I have the same Problem.

 

My installed Version is 157.1.1186.0

 

It should be the latest one.

@ds_12  no you don't, latest original HP driver version is 

  • 40.16.1234

You are on Microsoft drivers and having the same problems.  HP drivers don't have those problems when printing on A3.
