HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

A few weeks ago my OfficeJet Pro 9025 stopped printing.  It won't print from any connected device, whether it's my iPhone, iPad, or Windows 11 PC.  The file gets sent to the printer fine, and the printer acknowledges by "turning on" and flashing the green status bar, it clicks like it wants to print, but it just sits there.  It never advances paper to begin printing.  However, if i ask it to print a status page, diagnostic page, alignment page, or any other internal page, it prints just fine.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software, but since this applies to my mobile devices too, it can't be related to my PC.

Hi @MSU_Herbie,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer is receiving print jobs but not initiating the actual print process from external devices, even though it prints internal pages just fine. This can be caused by a few different factors, such as firmware glitches, driver conflicts, or network communication problems.

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Update Printer Firmware
Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check and update it via the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart App

  2. Use HP Smart's Diagnose & Fix Tool
This tool can automatically detect and resolve many common printing issues:
  3. Clear Print Queue and Restart Print Spooler (Windows 11)
    • Open Services (search in Start).
    • Find Print Spooler, right-click, and choose Restart.
    • Also, clear any stuck print jobs from the queue.

  4. Reinstall Printer on All Devices
    • Remove the printer from your Windows 11 PC and mobile devices.
    • Re-add it using the HP Smart app or system settings.

  5. Check Network Connection
    • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices.
    • You can also try restoring the network settings on the printer and reconnecting.

  6. Try Printing via USB
    • Temporarily connect the printer to your PC via USB to see if it prints. This can help isolate whether the issue is network-related.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
