OfficeJet 6700 - I get this message on screen . Tried on/off and unplug, etc. same message.
there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn off, then on, if problem persists, contact HP.
I'd like to help!
Try the below suggestions-
Reset the product
update the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges
Remove and reinsert each ink cartridge.
Open the door to access to the ink cartridges.
Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
Push the ink cartridge to remove it, and then push it into its slot until it snaps into place.
Repeat these steps for the other three ink cartridges.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
If the issue persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer
