Officejet 4650 Black Ink Cartridge Issue

Officejet 4650 - HP Ink 63XL

I was recently trying to replace my black ink cartridge with a new one. The 63XL. However, I have not been able to get the cartridge to work. It keeps saying there's an ink cartridge problem and to remove and reinstall. I've done this multiple times. I've even cleaned the cartridge's copper strips, as well as the the copper connecting strip part of the black cartridge holder as indicated by the troubleshooting page on HP. I've tried the hard restart of the printer. Nothing has worked. I have never had this issue before and am very confused.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
