Officejet 6700 Premium Printer Failure

Officejet 6700 Premium
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

have: HP Officejet 6700 Premium, W10 64 bit

issue: printer does not boot up when power is turned on

error: there is a problem with the printer or ink system

tried: turning power off then on, removing cartridges then reinstalling them...all to no avail


i'm open to suggestions

I see that you are not able to print due to this error. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.


Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in these documents to resolve this issue - 'Printer Failure' Error and A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays

Check for any jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely.


If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure with the printer. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 


If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
