Officejet 7500 no longer prints A3

HP Recommended
Officejet 7500

I've owned an officerjet 7500 for several years, previously run on an HP laptop. I bought a new HP laptop (HP Envy) this weekend, and the printer installed itself. It will print, but the option to print at a3 seems to have disappeared. Anything already in an a3 format gets a message that the paper size is not supported by this device, and there is no a3 paper size in any drop down menu.

If you have not done so,

  • Download, save, and install the Full Feature Software for the printer
  • After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

If you have not done so,

  • Consider installing the printer Firmware
  1. Description / Fixes document mentions A3 and other important improvements.
  2. READ all instructions before installing the firmware.

Commentary:

Set / Adjust printing preferences and settings for the current print job within the program you are using to submit that job to the printer.

Most browsers, document editors, PDF readers, and photo/image programs provide some form of Print Preview.  Print Preview allows you to select settings and to adjust parameters for the current job.  Settings might be called "Properties", "Page Setup", or similar.

Printing Preferences can be set for particular job types.  Custom shortcuts can be made to provide access to frequently used setups.

Media type (kind of paper) must be set to a type of paper that also supports A3

Size of paper (A3) must be available for the Media type you want to use
