HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

My printer control screen has gone black, but the icons still glow. On Mac it's showing offline.  I tried taking out cartridges but nothing moved when opened panel. I tried advice from 2024 turn off and hold power button 15 secs, nothing resolved. Strange as the warranty expired 4 days ago?!?!

Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 15 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

Note: Please connect the printer directly to a wall outlet.

If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Hi, Sorry for delay coming back but was called away a couple weeks.

The suggested actions haven't resolved the problem. It remains inactive, black screen white icons on left illuminated and wireless blue on right illuminated. when I ope cartridge dept, nothing happens and cartridges remained locked in position.

The computer (Mac) simply says 'printer offline'.

Any further ideas?

Thanks

Pete

Hi, they have suggested I talk to an online bod and given me a link but seems I have to pay £21 for the service. Im loathed to pay but will if needed and if it works I'll let you know what they suggest. Im just awaiting their response as to whether I need to pay or not.
