Hi @Gatabout,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a persistent issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer even after replacing the ink cartridges and printhead. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the "Problem with Printer or Ink System" error.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the new ink cartridges are correctly installed. Remove them and reinstall them, making sure they click into place.

Check Printhead Installation:

  • Make sure the printhead is properly installed. Sometimes, the printhead might not be seated correctly even if it's new. Remove it and reinstall it, ensuring it's securely in place.

Clean Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Remove the ink cartridges and printhead. Use a clean, dry cloth to gently wipe the electrical contacts on both the ink cartridges and the printhead. Be careful not to touch the nozzles.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a hard reset on the printer. Turn it off, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Go to the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and see if there are any updates or drivers available for Windows 11.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Sometimes, paper jams or obstructions can trigger errors. Make sure there are no paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer.

Clean the Printhead:

  • If the printer has a printhead cleaning utility, use it. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings or on your computer’s print settings.

Check for Errors in Printer Settings:

  • Sometimes, printer settings can cause issues. Check the printer’s menu for any error messages or maintenance options.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
