HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

My officejet pro 8600 will turn on but immediately displays "printer failure" with the message: "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP." Multiple attempts to fix by turning off and on again or unplugging and replugging and turning on are unsuccessful.  

 

1. there is no obstruction or jam

2. I cannot manually move the ink cartridge carriage- it is immovable.

3. I cannot find repair options anywhere.

 

What is the problem with this machine? Is this machine repairable? How and where can I find repair options?

Try these steps: 

Power Reset

  • Unplug the printer from power while it is turned on.
  • Wait 2–3 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
