Does it copy, does it print when you print internal reports not from a computer?

. Thanks.! It scan properly  and it print blank pages  when copying documents not from a computer or from the computer. I also disinstalled and re-installed the printer as recommended. After reboot, no change.

Smells like a bad printhead. What was the issue prior the printhead replacement?

"The head could not be found, or misplaced or defectuous .." ( do not remember exact wording) ... and no printing at all could be obtained from different sources ... even blank pages or test page. Tried HP Scan and Print Doctor and obtained the following message: "Can not delete the output file".

Decided to order a new head which did not correct the printing problem,  except the message concerning the faulty head had disapeared.

Your replacement printhead didn't initialize properly, or it's defective. When nee printhead is installed for first several minutes there must be a pumping sound. Any chance you remember this happened?

Good Morning,

Thanks for your time to help me. I do not remember of specific sounds. But i do remember the message for alignment of the heads; it took a long time to dissaper without any specific message to declare alignment was successfull.  Shoud I try to disinstall and reinstall?

Also, new ink cartridges installed had a guaranty ending March/5, 2025. HP is expected to supply new replacement cartridges by tomorrow. Hope it is the problem. There was also a suggestion to put the heads in hot water which I am hesitant to do. What do you think about this last recommendation?

HP Recommended

The last recommendation might work for a clogged printhead where the ink has dried.

Received and tried a brand new black cartridge-No change, still blankpages after redoing a complete maintenance process (Third level of head cleaning) ot the printer. Also desinstall and install a second time, check for up to date software, plus the tension cycle ... all without any improvement. Ink does not seem to be present at printing time.

To answer your question on the reason to change  the head, the message was: (free translation)  "The head seems to be missing, is not detected  or is not installed correctly". Error code: 0xc 19a0040 - This message no longer appears with new head.
