The printer was working fine, it just stopped while printing a page. No error was displayed. Job was stuck in queue.

After that, even "Copy Documents" is not working, it goes in endless loop.

However, the printer can print Reports from Settings->Reports without any issues. I see another person faced same issue https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/HP-8720-Stuck-in-Printing-o... but the answer was given privately it seems. I tried everything, clearing job queue, restarting printer, resetting, and even restored factory default, nothing works. Please help!

Hi @Brunnerfab,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer suddenly stops responding and gets stuck in an endless loop. Let’s work on resolving this issue together.

  • Have you tried restarting both the printer and your computer to clear any temporary issues in the print queue?
  • Is the printer connected via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet, and have you checked if the connection is stable?
  • Does the printer display any message or unusual behavior, such as error lights or noises, when attempting to copy or print?

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, the printer needs to be checked.

Update the firmware if available on your current OS. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
