Product: Officejet Pro 8610
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

My printer just decided it does not like the Magenta cartridge and it is now refusing to work. I would like to set the printer to forgo using colour cartriges altogether and be a B&W Only.    I do NOT want to buy a bloody new printer. It has a perfectly good scanner and printer head blah blah.  Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

The printer must have all ink cartridges available and with ink to print, printers with 4 different ink cartridges cannot be used with black ink only, this cannot be bypassed and any empty cartridge must be replaced to print:
