Hi @Sshon
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When you change your Wi-Fi password, your printer can get disconnected from the network, especially if it was previously connected to your old Wi-Fi settings. Here's how you can fix the issue of your printer showing as offline after changing your Wi-Fi password:
1. Reconnect the Printer to the New Wi-Fi Network
Your printer needs to be reconnected to the new Wi-Fi network. Here's how to do that:
Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard (from the Printer's Control Panel)
Most HP printers, including your model, have a Wireless Setup Wizard that allows you to reconnect the printer to a Wi-Fi network. Follow these steps:
- Turn on your printer and make sure it’s powered on.
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless icon or go to Setup (gear icon) or Network Settings.
- Look for the Wireless Setup Wizard option.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter your new Wi-Fi password when prompted.
- Wait for the printer to confirm the connection, and check that the Wireless light on the printer is solid (not blinking).
Method 2: Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
If your router supports WPS, you can connect your printer using this faster method.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds.
- The printer will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network using WPS. When the connection is successful, the Wireless light will stop blinking.
2. Reconfigure the Printer on Your Computer
Once your printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network, you may need to update the connection settings on your computer. Here's how to do that:
For Windows:
- Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Find your printer in the list (if it’s still showing as offline, remove it first).
- Click Remove Device.
- Click Add a Printer or Scanner and wait for Windows to find your printer on the network.
- Select your printer and click Add Device.
- Try printing a test page to verify the connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
