Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date by visiting the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 4650) to find available firmware updates.
  • Download and install the latest firmware. Follow the on-screen instructions for the update.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes resetting the printer to its default settings can resolve the issue.
  • Access the Settings menu on the printer’s control panel.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or similar options to find the option to reset the printer.
