Hi @yadkinv,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7855 is stuck in a boot loop where only the HP logo and a blue line appear on the screen. This issue might indicate a firmware issue or hardware malfunction.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Disconnect any USB cables or network connections (Ethernet or WiFi).
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back into a direct wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or power strips).
  • Turn on the printer and see if it moves past the HP logo.

2. Try a Firmware Recovery (If Available)

Some HP printers support firmware recovery:

  • Power off the printer and disconnect it from power.
  • While the printer is off, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Back button.
  • While holding these buttons, plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • If the recovery mode starts, follow the instructions on the screen to update or recover the firmware.

3. Update the Firmware via USB Update the firmware on an HP printer

If the printer is recognized by your computer, you can try updating the firmware:

  • Download the latest firmware for your HP ENVY Photo 7855 from the HP Support website.
  • Connect the printer to your computer via USB.
  • Run the firmware update tool from your computer and follow the instructions.

4. Check for Hardware Malfunctions

If the steps above don't work, the issue could be hardware-related (like a failing control panel or motherboard):

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
  • If possible, perform a printer diagnostics test using the printer's control panel (if it becomes responsive) or HP Print and Scan Doctor (on a computer).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
