Hi @Janey14,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The orange information light blinking on your HP printer, combined with the "offline" and "problem with wireless adapter or access point" messages, indicates a possible issue with the wireless connection or the Instant Ink service connection. Here are some steps to help resolve it.

Restart Printer and Network Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, WiFi router, and any connected computers or devices.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then turn on the router first, followed by the printer and other devices.

Check Printer's WiFi Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is still connected to your WiFi network. Many HP printers have a WiFi or Wireless button; pressing it might allow you to print a network configuration page to check if the printer is connected.
  • If the printer is not connected to the WiFi, try reconnecting it by following the wireless setup instructions in the HP Smart app.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

  • If you’re on Windows, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility. This tool can help diagnose and fix connectivity issues.

Check Instant Ink Status:

  • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account to ensure there are no issues with your subscription. If your account status or payment method is outdated, this could impact your printer's function.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware update. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website, searching for your printer model, and checking the "Drivers and Software" section.

Re-add Printer (If Necessary):

  • If the printer still shows as offline, try removing it from your devices and re-adding it:
    • On Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and choose Remove device. Then, click Add a printer or scanner to reconnect it.
    • On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click the minus (-) sign to remove it. Then click the plus (+) sign to add it back.

These steps should help reconnect your printer and resolve the orange information light issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
