Hi @Carreglwyd85,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The flashing orange light on your HP LaserJet M110we generally indicates an error or problem with the printer. Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check for Paper Jam

One of the most common reasons for a flashing orange light is a paper jam. Even if no paper is visibly stuck, it could still be obstructing the paper path.

  • Open the paper tray and toner compartment.
  • Carefully check for any stuck paper and remove it.
  • Close everything properly and try printing again.

2. Check Toner Cartridge

Ensure that the toner cartridge is properly installed:

  • Open the printer’s front door and remove the toner cartridge.
  • Check if the cartridge is securely placed and free of any protective packaging (e.g., the plastic seal or tape).
  • Reinstall the toner cartridge and ensure it clicks into place.

3. Printer Door or Tray Not Properly Closed

A flashing orange light may indicate that one of the printer doors or the paper tray isn't properly closed.

  • Double-check that the front door (toner compartment) and paper tray are securely closed.
  • If you’ve recently replaced the paper tray, ensure it is correctly seated.

4. Check for Low Toner

If the toner cartridge is running low or out of toner, this could cause the flashing orange light.

  • Check the toner level from the printer display (if available).
  • Replace the toner cartridge if necessary.

5. Reset the Printer

Sometimes a simple reset can clear the error:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer on and check if the orange light stops flashing.

6. Printer Overheating

If the printer is overheated, it could cause the orange light to flash:

  • Turn off the printer and allow it to cool down for about 10-15 minutes.
  • After cooling down, turn it back on and check if the issue persists.

7. Firmware or Software Issue

Outdated printer firmware or a connectivity issue can sometimes cause problems:

  • Check for a firmware update for your LaserJet M110we on the HP Support Website.
  • You can also try reinstalling the printer drivers or updating them via the HP Smart app or Windows Printer Settings.

8. Check Connectivity (if Networked)

If you are using the printer wirelessly or over a network, ensure the connection is stable:

  • If using Wi-Fi, check the printer’s Wi-Fi connection to make sure it's connected to the correct network.
  • Try restarting your router to resolve any potential network issues.

Give these solutions a try, and let me know if the problem persists! 😊
