HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

When I am printing a PDF, I get many (too many) pages, but each one has a line of garbage/code at the top, rest of the page is blank.  What is going on?

Thanks,

Judd

HI @Juddacus,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

This issue typically happens when the HP Officejet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer is not interpreting the PDF correctly, often due to a driver problem or the wrong print processor being used.

Here’s how to fix it:

1: Use the HP Smart App

Some issues are resolved by printing through HP Smart:

  1. Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Open your PDF in HP Smart and try printing from there.

2: Print as Image (Best for PDFs)

This works around corrupt or incompatible print data.

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  2. Go to File > Print.
  3. Click Advanced in the Print dialogue.
  4. Check the box for “Print as Image.”
  5. Click OK, then try printing.

3: Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

Outdated or incorrect drivers can cause garbage output.

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Remove the HP Officejet Pro 9015e from the list.
  3. Visit HP's support page and download the latest full software and driver package for your printer model and Windows 11.
  4. Reinstall the printer using that download, not Windows’ default driver.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
