Hi @TEMO54,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0x6101bed on your HP OfficeJet 6600 printer typically indicates an issue with the ink system, such as a printhead malfunction or a carriage jam. To resolve this, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Perform a Power Reset

  1. Ensure the printer is turned on.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait for 60 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Step 2: Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts

  1. Open the cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the centre.
  2. Remove each ink cartridge by pressing down gently to release it.
  3. Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
  4. Allow the contacts to dry for a few minutes.
  5. Reinsert the cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
  6. Close the cartridge access door and check if the error message is cleared.

Step 3: Check for Paper Jams and Carriage Obstructions

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Open the printer cover and inspect for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be obstructing the carriage path.
  3. Gently remove any obstructions found.
  4. Ensure the carriage can move freely from side to side.
  5. Close the printer cover, plug in the power cord, and turn on the printer.

Step 4: Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can sometimes cause errors. To update:

  1. Visit the HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer series - H711 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.
  2. Download and install any available firmware updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
