Hi @TEMO54,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0x6101bed on your HP OfficeJet 6600 printer typically indicates an issue with the ink system, such as a printhead malfunction or a carriage jam. To resolve this, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Perform a Power Reset
- Ensure the printer is turned on.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
Step 2: Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts
- Open the cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the centre.
- Remove each ink cartridge by pressing down gently to release it.
- Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
- Allow the contacts to dry for a few minutes.
- Reinsert the cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
- Close the cartridge access door and check if the error message is cleared.
Step 3: Check for Paper Jams and Carriage Obstructions
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Open the printer cover and inspect for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be obstructing the carriage path.
- Gently remove any obstructions found.
- Ensure the carriage can move freely from side to side.
- Close the printer cover, plug in the power cord, and turn on the printer.
Step 4: Update Printer Firmware
Outdated firmware can sometimes cause errors. To update:
- Visit the HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer series - H711 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.
- Download and install any available firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
