Hi @sagerro007,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding paper jams on your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait about 60 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can reset internal sensors and clear false jam messages.

Inspect the Printer Thoroughly:

  • Open all printer doors and remove any input/output trays.
  • Check for any small bits of paper or obstruction in the paper path.
  • Ensure the paper trays and cartridges are properly seated and aligned.

Clean the Paper Path:

  • Dust or debris on the paper path can trigger false jam alerts. Use a flashlight to inspect the paper feeding mechanics inside the printer.
  • Clean the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water. Rotate the rollers to clean them thoroughly.

Check the Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge access door and check if the cartridges are correctly installed. Re-seat them if necessary.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Check the HP Support website for any available updates.

Print a Test Page:

  • Try printing a test or diagnostic page to check if the printer is functioning correctly. This might also help clear any false error messages.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Verify that the printer settings on your computer are correct and that the communication between the printer and computer is functioning.

I hope this helps.
