Hi @DOUG621 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error codec"62.80.13," which typically indicates a problem with the printer's printhead.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Check for Obstructions: Open the printer's cover and check for any obstructions in the printhead's path. Sometimes, debris or paper scraps can cause issues.
  • Inspect the Printhead: Look for any visible damage or blockages on the printhead itself. If you notice any debris, carefully clean it using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. Be gentle to avoid damaging the printhead.
  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the manufacturer's website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset the Printer: Try performing a reset on your printer. Instructions for resetting can usually be found in the printer's user manual or on HP's website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
