Hi @Whalers1945,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Let's walk through the steps to resolve the issue with your HP DeskJet 2755e:

1. Check Paper Size in Printer Settings Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers. Right-click your HP DeskJet 2755e and select Printing Preferences. Under the Paper/Quality tab, make sure the paper size is set to Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) or A4, depending on your region. Click Apply and OK.

2. Check Application Print Settings If you’re printing from a document (like Word or PDF), ensure the page size is set to Letter or A4 in the Print Preview window.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Driver Open Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager. Expand Printers, right-click your HP DeskJet 2755e, and select Update Driver. If the issue persists, uninstall the printer and reinstall it using the HP Smart app or from the HP Support Page.

Give these steps a try and let me know if you need any further assistance! 😊

Checked paper size and the issue persists.

I am unable to delete the printer driver from the device manager due to user settings on my work computer. There is not an option to delete the printer from the HP Smart App. When I sign into the HP Support page it is not showing any devices on my account.

Hi

Thank you for the response.

It looks like the issue is not related to paper size, so here are a few other things to check and try:

1. Adjust Print Scaling Settings

  • When printing, go to Print Settings (Ctrl + P in most apps).
  • Look for "Fit to Page", "Scale to Fit", or "Shrink to Fit" options.
  • Try setting scaling to 100% or selecting "Fit to Page" to prevent the document from spreading across multiple pages.

2. Check Printer Preferences (Control Panel)

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Under the Paper/Quality or Layout tab, ensure the correct paper size is selected.
  • Look for any "2-page per sheet" setting and disable it if enabled.

3. Remove and Reinstall the Printer Driver (Alternative Method)

Since you cannot delete the printer from Device Manager, try:

  • Using HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download from HP’s website to troubleshoot and reset the printer setup.
  • Reinstalling HP Smart App: Uninstall and reinstall HP Smart, then set up the printer again.
  • Using a Local Admin Account: If this is a work computer with restricted settings, ask your IT team to help remove and reinstall the printer driver properly.

4. Check for Driver Updates

  • Go to HP's Support Website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
  • If unable to install due to restrictions, request IT support to update drivers manually.
