Product: HP Envy 7800 series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I got my printer, it worked great. This was quite recent. I ran out of ink. I bought new ink. I bought the wrong cartridges. I took them out and put in the correct cartridge. I get no errors on the printer or on my computer. But instead of my one page Word document, I get page after page of symbols. Not a whole page of symbols, just a line or two at the top. I tried a different document, a PDF with the same results.

 

I can copy fine. When I use the troubleshooter, it tells me that I need to check the printer paper insertion. Which I have done. And, as I say, the copy function works fine.

Help please.
