I have a Pagewide Enterprise 586 that gives 61.A2.D2 and sometimes 61.00.01 errors. Is it possible to get more detailed information about what these errors mean? All signs point to checking the CPMD, but this is not something I have access to and could not find for this printer online anywhere. Thanks for any and all help!

Additionally I got a used formatter board that included a hard drive. However the replacement formatter will not accept either hard drive I have. The format option will not work and neither will the option to load the firmware from the network or flash drive. I tried installing the original formatter with the replacement drive with the same result. Only the original formatter and the original hard drive will allow the printer to start up. Is there some procedure to make the formatter and hard drive work together in the machine? Thanks!

Swapping used formatters is not supported as it can cause critical data conflicts. When you install a new drive, you have to clear the password on the drive before you can format it.

 

The CPMD does not list the error you show but shows 61.a2.2d, if that is your error this is an issue with the pick motor in tray 1`.

Thank you very much for the information! I only tried the formatter board as most of the information I could find seemed to indicate 61 errors were formatter related. Yes it is 61.a2.2d, seems I was having a dyslexic moment. Tray 1 is the manual feed tray correct? I never use that tray. Any reason it might be causing an issue? What about the 61.00.01 error that pops up less frequently? Thanks again!
