Paper Jam

My printer won’t print due to a paper jam. I’ve tried everything to reset it, but I think it’s cause one side of the roller is not doing its job. So only the left side of the paper gets pulled in. Any suggestions?

i THOUGHT I FIXED THE PAPER JAM PROBLEM.    GOT READY TO USE THE PRINTER AND IT SAYS THERE IS A PAPER JAM, BUT NOW I CAN NOT GET THE TOP OPEN

Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The following steps apply to both real and false paper jams.
