HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer

I have a piece of paper stuck way in back of the printer and can't figure out how to get it out.  It's not near the rollers. Can anyone make suggestions.  Thanks.

Hi @SG1116,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove the paper stuck in the back of your HP ENVY 5660 printer, you can try the following steps.

  • Turn off the printer: Unplugging the printer is always a good idea to avoid damaging it or injuring yourself while working with the machine.
  • Open the rear access door: The paper is likely stuck in the rear area of the printer, so open the rear access door. On the HP ENVY 5660, this door is usually located on the back of the printer. You may need to press or slide it open.
  • Gently pull the paper: Once the rear access door is open, try to locate the paper. If you can see it, gently pull it out with both hands, making sure not to tear it. If it's stuck behind anything, try to gently ease it out, being careful not to damage any internal parts.
  • Check inside for any other obstructions: If the paper is not easily coming out, check for any other paper scraps or objects that could be causing a blockage. Sometimes, small bits of paper can be lodged inside.
  • Reassemble the printer: Once the paper is removed, close the rear access door, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.

If you still can't remove the paper or find it hard to reach, sometimes a flashlight can help you see into the back area more clearly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
