The paper jam light is on even though I've removed the paper. I've tried rebooting but nothing seems to work.

Even a tiny bit of paper that is easily overlooked can cause issues if it is holding open a flag. Try turning off the printer, waiting 2 minutes and then turning it on. If you immediately get the error then a flag somewherein the printer is stuck and you will need to look further to find it.

You're absolutely right. I took the printer apart and there were two small bits of paper.
