@Rudy_95, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Power Off and Disconnect the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to avoid any electrical issues while you work on it.
Check the Printer for Visible Paper Jams
- Open all doors and trays: This includes the front door (where the toner cartridges are), the rear door (if your model has one), and the input/output paper trays.
- Remove any jammed paper: If you spot any paper, gently pull it out to avoid tearing it. Be cautious around rollers to avoid damage.
- Check for paper scraps or small pieces stuck inside that could be causing the jam.
Clear the Jam in the Paper Path
- Remove all toner cartridges: Take out the cartridges to check for any paper that may have jammed in the area behind them.
- Check the paper path: Inspect the paper path for any stuck paper. Look under the toner area and along the rollers.
Inspect the Paper Tray
- Ensure the paper tray is loaded properly: Sometimes, a misaligned stack of paper can cause jams. Make sure that the paper is aligned and not overfilled.
- Check the paper for wrinkles or dampness: Ensure that the paper you are using is in good condition (no wrinkles or dampness).
Check for Paper in the Output Tray
- Open the output tray: Check for any paper jams or issues with the paper being ejected.

Check the Rear Door (for Specific Models)
- Open the rear door: Some models have a rear door that can be opened for accessing paper jams that are stuck toward the back of the printer.
Reset the Printer
- After clearing the paper jam, close all doors and trays.
- Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on.
- Check the printer display for any error messages and try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.
Perform a Printer Reset (if needed)
If the issue persists:
- Perform a hard reset of the printer. Here’s how:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer’s power cord.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates
- If the issue continues to occur after all physical jams are cleared, there could be a firmware issue. Check for any firmware updates for your printer:
- Go to the HP support website.
- Search for your printer model and check for available firmware updates.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Check the Printer’s Network Connection
- Sometimes, the WSD error might be related to network issues, especially if your printer is connected via WSD (Web Services for Devices). Check your printer’s network connection to ensure that it is stable.
- Reconnect the printer to your network if necessary.
- Test by printing from a different device or application to see if the error persists.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
