When your HP Envy 6530e says “No paper available” even though paper is loaded, and it’s stuck on alignment setup, it usually means the printer sensors or tray settings aren’t detecting the paper correctly. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Check Paper Loading

  • Make sure the paper is: 
    • Plain white, not glossy or curled.
    • Aligned properly in the tray.
    • The tray guides are snug against the paper (not too tight).


2. Clean Paper Sensors

  • Power off the printer.
  • Remove the paper.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean: 
    • The paper feed rollers.
    • The sensors are inside the tray area.


3. Reset Printer

  • With the printer ON, unplug the power cord.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug back in and power on.


4. Update Firmware


5. Run Alignment Again

  • Load paper.
  • On the printer screen:
    Setup → Tools → Align Printer.
  • If it still fails, skip alignment and try printing a test page.


6. If Error Persists

  • Perform a Full Factory Reset
    • Press and hold Cancel + Wireless for 5 seconds.
    • Reconfigure the printer.
