Pasword reset OJ7744

HP Recommended
HP Officejet PRO 7740
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wasn't aware it had a pasword  on the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 and I didn't realize is is by default 12345678. So I changed it to:

user: admin and a new password. For some reason it din't worked and I am not ablle to manage the 7740 anymore.

I would like to know or get instructions to reset.

@TonyB5 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to reset the password.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link

Hope this helps!

It didn'worked. Finally I found out how to reset the printer totally. Go to screen on printer. Find on this screen: Reset to factory settings. After the reset this I start all over again with the installation and it worked.
