HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The i symbol on the printer is stuck on orange and there is also an i on the small screen. The printer stopped working and I have tried all the troubleshooting as directed and it still won't work. I have even reinstalled the software to no avail.

What can this be and how do I resolve it?

Thanks.

Hi @Marbuc69,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When the "i" symbol on your HP Deskjet 2710e printer is stuck on orange, it typically indicates an issue that requires attention. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have ink in them. Sometimes, low ink levels or improperly installed cartridges can trigger errors.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and clear temporary errors.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues and improve printer performance.
  • Reset the Printer: If none of the above steps work, try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This can often resolve persistent issues. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issue with your HP Deskjet 2710e printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
