Photosmart C309g Error - BA081851
12-28-2020 03:02 PM

When powering on, will show HP logo and progress bar for ~3 seconds and then go to bluescreen and error. All buttons and touchscreen are unresponsive.
Have tried the following with no resolution:
- Restarted printer with router turned off
- Unplugged power from printer while on for 30 seconds
- Unplugged power from wall while on for 30 seconds
Doing a search, this error is nowhere on the internet. Any guidance is welcomed.

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Please try these steps
- Turn on the printer.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
- Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
- Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.
- If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
Also ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

I followed the steps below, but unfortunately no change. Below is a picture of what is on the screen.
No USB cable has ever been attached (always used wireless connection).
Opening the top of the printer does not move the ink cartridge carriage from home position in order to remove cartridges. I was able to release them (not remove) by reaching between the plastic and pressing the tabs.
Unable to verify firmware as not able to connect to printer.

Thank you for the suggested tips. Due to the age of the printer and being out of warranty, I will likely recycle this one and proceed with buying a new one.
