Hi @Budbear,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

As your HP OfficeJet 5212 is printing pictures with a green tint, try these troubleshooting steps:

Check Ink Levels

  • Open HP Smart App or your printer’s control panel.
  • Ensure that your color ink (especially magenta and yellow) is not empty or clogged.

Clean Printheads

  • On the printer’s touchscreen, go to:
    • Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Run the cleaning cycle 2-3 times if necessary.

Check Color Settings in Print Dialog

  • When printing, go to Print Settings.
  • Make sure:
    • Color Mode is set to Color (not grayscale).
    • Paper type matches the actual paper you are using (e.g., Photo Paper).

Update Printer Drivers

  • Windows: Go to HP Support, download the latest HP OfficeJet 5212 driver, and install it.
  • Mac: Remove and re-add the printer from System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug it from power for 2 minutes.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

If the issue persists, your magenta or yellow cartridge might be clogged or faulty. Try replacing the color ink cartridge.

Let me know if you need further help! 😊
