Hi @SheriLN,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the control panel screen on your HP Color Laser M255dw printer is blank and not displaying any menu options, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Check if the control panel screen displays properly after the printer restarts.

2. Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Try plugging the power cord into a different outlet or power source to rule out issues with the power supply.

3. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect any USB cables or Ethernet cables connected to the printer.
  • Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reinsert the ink cartridges and reconnect any cables.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the control panel screen displays properly.

4. Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.
  • Download and install the latest firmware update following the instructions provided by HP.

5. Reset Printer Settings:

  • If the control panel screen remains blank, you may need to reset the printer settings to their factory defaults.
  • Refer to the printer's user manual or support documentation for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
