I am trying to print a 4” x 6” postcard in Landscape mode.  My HP 6520 printer does not accept a 6”  postcard in portrait mode. Can this be done in the paper tray?

Hi @Anncie2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with printing postcards in landscape mode on your printer.

The HP 6520 printer may have specific limitations regarding paper sizes and orientations, and it sounds like you're encountering issues with printing a 4” x 6” postcard in portrait mode. Here's a step-by-step approach to help you print it in landscape mode, which should be compatible with your printer:

Check Printer Settings: Make sure the printer settings are configured correctly. Go to your printer’s properties or preferences in the print dialog box and ensure that the paper size is set to 4” x 6”.

Load Paper Correctly: When loading the 4” x 6” postcard into the paper tray, place it with the 6” side along the direction of the paper feed. This usually means the 4” side is perpendicular to the paper feed direction.

Adjust Print Orientation: In the print settings on your computer, select “Landscape” orientation. This ensures that the image or content is aligned correctly for landscape printing.

Paper Tray Configuration: Make sure the paper tray or input slot is adjusted to fit 4” x 6” paper. Some printers have adjustable trays that need to be set to the correct size.

Printer Firmware:  Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware.

Check Printer Manual: Refer to the printer's manual by clicking on this link for reference.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day
