Hi @treid3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

On your HP DeskJet 4152e, when the Power button is blinking and the Information button is blinking orange, it usually indicates a printer error or attention state that needs immediate troubleshooting.

What the Lights Mean

  • Blinking Power button: Printer is on but not ready.
  • Blinking orange Information button: There’s an error that requires user action, often related to:
    • Paper jam
    • Cartridge issue
    • Printer setup incomplete
    • Firmware or network problem

Recommended Steps to Fix This

1. Check for Error on Printer Display or HP App

  • Open the HP app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Look for any error message (e.g., paper jam, cartridge problem).

2. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on.

3. Inspect for Paper Jam or Cartridge Issues

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove any jammed paper.
  • Ensure cartridges are properly seated and not damaged.

4. Restore Network or Setup Mode

If the printer was in setup mode and interrupted:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 3 seconds to restore Wi-Fi setup mode.
  • The Wireless light should start blinking blue.

5. Update Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
