HP ENVY 4501 e-All-in-One Printer

Power button flashes and I get an ERROR CODE OXB85BABBO. I have downloaded HP assistant (HP software sp151723 and HPPSdr) My PC doesn't recognize.   FYI Recommendations fail to help. Also some indicate a personal response so those don't help either. Can any one define just what this code specifically means?

Hi @GeoMort,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer that has an error code.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

C) If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults.

Once plugged in it goes through the steps as I showed in my video. There is no noise or signs of mechanical motion as it would normally perform. The ink cartridge carriage is flush to the right so I can only remove one cartridge unless I take off a portion of the case??

If you would like I can show you exactly by video what I'm doing. However, I can't perform step one as I said because it's flush right and covered up.HP Envy #2 Pic.jpg

Hi @GeoMort,

I am sorry to hear that the above steps did not help much but i do appreciate your efforts in performing the troubleshooting steps.

I see that carriage is jammed and you are not able to print.

Refer to the steps on this link to troubleshoot further to release the carriage jam and let me know if that resolves the issue.
