Hello - My Printer not working (print head error). Their quick tips are so basic they are useless.

My warranty date is incorrect in HP's site.  Not sure why HP listed an incorrect date.
The HP's warranty dispute site doesn't work.

HP doesn't provide contact information for a real person out if warranty.

So frustrated with HP.  Less than a year old and HP won't help resolve issues.

Hi @BB2101,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer is showing a print head error, and the basic tips haven’t helped. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Turn Off & Unplug Printer

Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall.

Wait 60 seconds before plugging it back in.

Remove & Inspect Print Head

Open the printer and carefully remove the print head (refer to your printer manual).

Check for ink clogs, dried ink, or damaged contacts.

Gently wipe contacts with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.

Check Ink Cartridges

Remove and reinstall the cartridges to ensure they click properly into place.

Make sure no protective tape is left on the cartridges.

Clean Print Head

If your printer allows, run the automatic printhead cleaning via the control panel or HP Smart app.

Repeat the cleaning cycle 2–3 times if necessary.

Perform Printer Reset

Turn off the printer → unplug → wait 60 seconds → plug in → turn on.

This clears temporary memory errors that may trigger printhead issues.

Test Printing

Try printing a test page to check if the issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.
