Hi @Robert7851,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Print failures can arise from various issues, such as connectivity problems, printer settings mismatches, or hardware issues. Below are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is turned on and that the power light is illuminated.
  • Check the printer's display for any error messages and follow any prompts for resolution.

Connection Verification:

  • If your printer is connected via USB, ensure the cable is properly connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • For network connections, ensure the printer is properly connected to the network. You may want to reboot the router and printer to re-establish the network connection.
  • If the printer is wireless, check if it’s properly connected to the Wi-Fi network.

Printer Setup:

  • Make sure the printer is set as the default printer on your computer.
  • Ensure the correct printer is selected when attempting to print.

Paper and Ink:

  • Confirm that there is enough paper loaded in the printer and that the paper is correctly aligned.
  • Check the ink or toner levels and replace cartridges if they are low or empty.

Restart Devices:

  • Restarting the computer and the printer can resolve minor software glitches.

Driver Issues:

  • Update the printer drivers to the latest version from the HP Driver Support Site.
  • Uninstall and then reinstall the printer drivers if the problem persists.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cable, wait for about 60 seconds, and then reconnect and power on the printer.

Check Printer Queue:

  • Clear any stuck print jobs in your computer's print queue.
  • Go to "Devices and Printers" on your computer, open the printer's queue, and cancel any pending print jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
