Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,
I replaced a bad HP printer with this even worse 8620 printer that has cost a lot of money and many hours of wasted time and I'm hoping to find answers I haven't already tried. It's brand new and I took it out of the box for the first time less than a year ago but it's never worked right.
From the day I took it out of the box it started printing printer info and other stuff on it's own. It has cost all my new ink cartridges and a ream of paper because it just prints things over and over until the paper runs out. I try to remember to shut if off after each use but when I forget, it wastes it all again.
Now, I bought it because of another HP I have printed less than 100 sheets on things I printed on purpose but many hundreds of sheets it printed on it's own and now I have a print head missing or not found error.
I have probably bought my last HP product after 25 years or so of using almost nothing but HP products but I'd like to know if anyone has found the magic answer to these 2 issues before I toss this $500-600 boat anchor.
Thanks
