I have an HP Envy Pro 6455 that was printing fine until yesterday and now all the jobs just keep saying blocked and nothing prints. I've reset the printer to factory settings, replaced the ink, checked for jams. Nothing is working.

Hi @KCouncil2025

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP Envy Pro 6455 shows “Print job blocked” and won’t print despite a factory reset and ink replacement, the issue likely lies with the print queue, spooler service, or driver communication. Clearing the queue, restarting services, and reinstalling the driver should restore printing.

I’m really sorry this has interrupted your printing—especially when everything seemed fine just yesterday. That “blocked” status can feel like a wall between you and your documents.

Let’s walk through a few precise steps to break through it.

Step-by-step fix for “Print job blocked” on HP Envy Pro 6455

1. Clear the print queue

  • Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
  • Right-click your HP Envy Pro 6455 > See what's printing.
  • Cancel all pending jobs.
  • Close the window and try printing again.

2. Restart the Print Spooler service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click > Restart.
  • This refreshes the system’s communication with the printer.

3. Run HP Diagnose & Fix tool

  • Download: HP Diagnose & Fix
  • Launch and follow the prompts—it checks for driver issues, queue blocks, and connectivity faults.

4. Reinstall the full driver package

  • Visit: HP Envy Pro 6455 Drivers
  • Select your operating system and download the Full Feature Software and Drivers.
  • Install with the printer powered on and connected via USB or Wi-Fi.

5. Check wireless connection (if using Wi-Fi)

  • Ensure the printer and PC are on the same network band (2.4GHz or 5GHz).
  • Avoid VPNs or firewalls that may block local device discovery.
  • Move the printer closer to the router if needed.

Let me know if the print queue clears or if the Diagnose & Fix tool finds anything—I’ll guide you further based on what you see.
