The "Printer or Ink System Problem" error on your OfficeJet Pro 8620 after changing the cartridge is usually caused by a faulty ink system, incorrect cartridge installation, or a printer firmware issue. Try these troubleshooting steps:

 

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  4. Try printing again.

Check and Reinstall the Ink Cartridges

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door.
  2. Remove all the ink cartridges.
  3. Inspect them for damage or leaks.
  4. Reinsert them firmly into their correct slots.
  5. Close the access door and restart the printer.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Unplug the printer while it's on.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Printer Firmware

  1. Visit HP's official website.
  2. Download and install the latest firmware for your OfficeJet Pro 8620.
