Hi @Olivedoe,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
If you're having trouble getting larger fonts to print on your HP Officejet 4630, it might be due to the print settings or the document formatting itself. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you adjust the font size:
1. Adjust Font Size in the Document
- Ensure the font size in the original document is set to the desired size before printing.
- If you're using a word processor (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or Pages), highlight the text and change the font size in the formatting toolbar.
- Set the font size to something larger (e.g., 14, 16, or more) depending on your preference.
2. Print Scaling Settings
- You may need to adjust print scaling in the printer settings to make sure the text isn't being reduced when printed.
- When you go to print:
- Click File > Print.
- In the print dialog box, look for an option like "Scale", "Fit to page", or "Custom scale".
- Make sure the document is set to 100% scale or select "Fit to Printable Area".
- Avoid options like "Shrink to Fit" or "Fit to Page", as they may shrink the text.
3. Check Printer Preferences
- Open Printer Preferences to check the settings that might affect the size of the print:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (on Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (on macOS).
- Right-click on your HP Officejet 4630 and select Printing Preferences.
- Look for options related to scaling, and ensure they are set to Actual Size or 100%.
4. PDF Printing Adjustments
- If you're printing a PDF and it appears small, you might need to adjust the Print Settings in your PDF viewer.
- In Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer, click File > Print.
- Ensure that "Page Scaling" is set to None or Actual Size.
- Alternatively, select Fit to Printable Area if the document is too small on the page.
5. Reinstall Printer Driver
- If the issue persists, there might be a problem with the printer driver. Reinstalling it can help reset any misconfigurations.
- Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest driver for the HP Officejet 4630.
- After reinstalling, check if the font issue is resolved.
After trying these steps, you should be able to print your documents with larger font sizes. Let me know if you need further assistance!
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
