Not getting much printing out of a new cartridge

Ink cartridge page yield typically depends upon the type of document that you print. If you are print a photo on Best quality settings then the ink consumption would be high, however, if you print documents in draft mode you can reduce the ink consumption. This document explains how HP measure page yield.
