HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One Printer - B210a
Microsoft Windows 11

When printing any document, the print spooler will not clear the print job in the que. Once the pages of the document in que have been printed the print spooler does not clear in que even if I select cancel all print jobs. Since that print job is still in que, I am unable to print another document.  Manually stopping the print spooler in services does not solve the issue. I removed the printer and did a fresh install of the driver, powering down the laptop and restarting it, turning off the printer and restarting it however the problem still continues. I installed the HP print and scan doctor, and it reported the issue as being solved.

Hi @MrJoe3 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

It sounds like you're dealing with a stubborn print spooler issue. Here are some additional steps to try:

Clear Print Spooler Files Manually:

  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. In the Services window, find and select "Print Spooler" and click "Stop".
  3. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS. Delete any files in this folder (you may need administrative permissions).
  4. Go back to the Services window, right-click "Print Spooler", and click "Start".

Reset the Print Spooler:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run these commands one by one:
    net stop spooler
    del %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\* /Q
    net start spooler

Check Printer Status:

  • Make sure your printer is not set to "Use Printer Offline". Go to Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and make sure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP website and download the latest driver for your printer model. Sometimes, a fresh driver installation can resolve lingering issues.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 installation is up to date, as updates can sometimes fix underlying issues with system services like the print spooler.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove the printer completely from your system and reinstall it. Sometimes a fresh installation can resolve issues that aren’t fixed by updating drivers.

I hope this helps.
