HP 8025e

Our printer has stopped being addressable via wireless. Have tried setting it up on my laptop multiple times & it won't connect.

I tried unplugging and restarting it. When I plug it in the LCD screen says it's setting up the printer but when done the LCD screen is black & I can't tell what's going on.

Any advice?

Hi @JoshG,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP 8025e printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Restart Your Printer: You've already tried this, but it's worth trying again. Make sure to unplug the power cord from the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  • Check Wireless Settings: Ensure that the wireless settings on your printer are correctly configured. You may need to access the printer's settings menu from the LCD screen to verify the wireless network settings. Make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network password is entered correctly.
  • Restart Your Wireless Router: Sometimes, the issue might lie with the router rather than the printer. Try restarting your wireless router by unplugging it, waiting for about 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in. This can help refresh the network connection and resolve any temporary glitches.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP 8025e printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix connectivity issues and improve overall performance. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
  • Reset Network Settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the network settings on your printer. Look for the option to reset network settings in the printer's menu and follow the instructions to reset them. After resetting, you'll need to reconfigure the wireless settings.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the connectivity issues with your HP 8025e printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
