Hi Everyone,

I am having problem with my printer reading my cartage and would reapply appreciate some assistance.

Background:

Run out of yellow ink, so after a couple of days I bought one and put it in. I used it for about 2-3 weeks when the other cartage showed empty. I did not need to use it for a while so I didn't order anything. About 4 months later I needed to start using it again, so I ordered the other colours and black cartage. I replaced them all and right after it showed that my yellow ink needs replenishing.  Now besides the obvious issue of why didn't it show depleted with the other cartage, this still has ink. I can confirm this because not only have I not used it enough, but I took it out and it still releases ink and I can feel ink move when I shake it.

What I have tried:

- restart printer

- unplug wait 1 min and re-plug

- clean cartage ink hole

- reset printer to factory condition

Any new solutions would be much appreciated. I have read that some all-in-one printers to have driver and software issues but I do not know how to fix it.

Thank you in advance!!

@Waterfall2, Welcome to HP Support Community!

This could be an issue with the printer ink system. If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
