HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer

My printer has a cartridge problem that I am unable to clear even after changing the cartridge.  It states that a cartridge is either missing or damaged.  No damage is show to anything and I already replaced the back ink cartridge which shows to be the one with the problem

Hi @EDBSOSA,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already replaced the cartridge and are still encountering the same error message, there could be a few potential reasons for this issue:

  • Compatibility: Ensure that the replacement cartridge you've installed is compatible with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer. Using a non-compatible cartridge can cause such errors.
  • Installation: Double-check that the cartridge is properly installed. Sometimes, even a small misalignment can trigger cartridge errors. Remove the cartridge and reinsert it, making sure it's securely in place.
  • Clean Contacts: Clean the cartridge contacts and the corresponding contacts in the printer. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to gently wipe the contacts. Make sure they are dry before reinserting the cartridge.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with newer cartridges. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset Printer: Try resetting your printer to its factory settings. This can sometimes clear out any persistent errors. Refer to your printer's manual or HP's website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
